¡Doble entrega de Prosa Inmortal! Para empezar, la ilustración de portada del tercer número, dedicado a la muerte en todas sus facetas (en un puñado de ellas al menos). 190 gloriosas páginas con ocho relatos y un ensayo, a la venta en versión digital y física en su web.

La Escuela Nocturna

Ilustración de portada para La Escuela Nocturna de Noel Ceballos, publicada en la inefable colección Memento Mori (Editorial Alegoría). Un evidente robo/homenaje a Mucha con simbolismo a tutiplen para una historia de sociedades secretas, conspiraciones, ocultismo, nocturnidad y alevosía en el Madrid de 1912. Una maravilla de encargo, créanme.

La novela ya está a la venta online y en librerías selectas, y habrá presentación de las novedades de Memento Mori el jueves 30 de octubre en el Picnic, con presencia de autores, editores y, rezo por ello, canapés. Si les pilla cerca, ya saben.

Cover illustration for La Escuela Nocturna, a novel by Noel Ceballos published by Memento Mori (Editorial Alegoría). An obvious tribute/theft to Mucha full of symbols for a story with secret societies, conspiracy, occultism and general evil set in Madrid in 1912. Certainly a gem of a job.

You can buy the book online here. There will be a presentation event next thursday (October 30th) at Picnic Bar (Madrid), with writers, editors and (I hope so) food. Don't miss it if you happen to be nearby!

Crímen y castigo

Ya casi está aquí el segundo número de la revista literaria Prosa Inmortal, trece inefables relatos y un ensayo dedicados al concepto de crímen y castigo, con ilustración de portada de un servidor. Estará a la venta en septiembre, y para celebrarlo han organizado un fiestón de presentación cuyo cartel he tenido (también) el gusto de realizar. The second issue of the literary magazine Prosa Inmortal is almost here, containing thirteen indescribable short stories and an essay exploring the concept of crime and punishment, cover illustration by this humble servant. It will be available this september, and in celebration of this wondrous event the editors have organized an epic party, whose poster has been designed, once again, by me. I'm taking advantage of July 4th to release this damned thing that's been haunting me since April. Based on an awesome anonymous girl spotted some night, partying hard as it should be. The neverending magic and wonder of Madrid at night. 'MERICA!

We're going to hell for this

Aske es uno de esos proyectos recurrentes que retomo cada cierto tiempo, sólo para volver a abandonarlo vilmente. Es un cómic ambientado en el mundo del black metal noruego, pero el argumento y los detalles cambian cada vez que vuelvo a afrontarlo. Siempre acabo con una pila de bocetos preliminares y poco en claro, pero quizás algún día...

Estos dibujos tienen ya un par de años, pero los sigo viendo con cariño. Seguiré desenterrando.

Aske is a recurring project which I resume every now and then, just to despicably abandon it again. It is a comic set in the world of norwegian black metal, but the plot and details change every time I take it up again. I always end up with little more than a bunch of preliminary sketches, but maybe someday...

These drawings are a couple of years old, but I still like them. I will keep on unearthing.

Prosa Inmortal

Dibujo para la portada del primer número de Prosa Inmortal, la revista semestral de monografías de ficción dirigida por los muy honorables John Tones y Fran Serrano. El tema de este número es Los horrores de la ciencia, y cuenta con un montón de relatos con muy buena pinta. Si es usted aficionado a la ciencia ficción, no lo dude y eche un ojo.

La revista se presenta mañana 17 de Octubre en el Festival de Sitges, y estará a la venta en versión física y digital en noviembre y diciembre respectivamente. Más información en su web y su Twitter, ¡estén atentos!

First issue's cover illustration of Prosa Inmortal, a fiction-themed biannual magazine directed by the most honourable John Tones and Fran Serrano. This issue's theme is The horrors of science, and features a lot of very good-looking short stories. If you like science fiction you should give it a look!

The magazine's presentation event is tomorrow (October 17th) on Sitges Film Festival, and will be available on paper and digital versions on the first week of november and december respectively. More info on their website and Twitter. Stay tuned!

La increíble aventura de la señora Faustina

La pobre Faustina y su chocante experiencia es mi humilde contribución para la exposición colectiva ¡Han vuelto!, organizada por la diminuta y cuca galería Tetera & Kiwi (bellísimas personas). La cosa va de extraterrestres, ovnis, abducciones y demás temática ikerjimenística (todo lo que mola), participa un montón de gente guay y puede verse hasta el 17 de octubre en su local de Granada. Tenéis más información en su blog.

Por otra parte, las obras están a la venta en la tienda de su web, no dudéis en echar un ojo y apoyar al artisteo emergente. La mía es muy barata y soy muy majo. Lo dejo caer.

Poor Faustina and her shocking experience is my contribution for the ¡Han vuelto! ("They are back!") collective exhibition, organized by Tetera & Kiwi (a cute, tiny gallery led by very nice people). The exhibition is about aliens, UFOs, abductions and other cool X-Files-like stuff, with contributions from many awesome artists, and can be seen until October 17th in Granada. Also, you can buy the exhibition's pieces online on their web's shop, so take a look at it and support the artists! Mine is ridiculously cheap and I am a nice guy. Just saying.
